How To Approach A Girl When She’s Running

September 18, 2015 by Ben Alexander

How to approach a girl when she's running

Question: How to approach a girl when she’s running?

Answer: So many beautiful girls run to stay in shape and I’m really pleased that they do!

If you don’t know how to approach a girl when she’s running you are missing out on some of the biggest opportunities with girls you may not otherwise ever see in a bar or nightclub

Approaching a girl when she is running is actually essentially the same as approaching a girl that is walking except:

– You need to move faster
– The approach distances are a little higher to allow the girl to feel more comfortable

So this is how you do it!

If she’s already run past you:

1 – Run after her

2 – Overtake her and keep going till you get about 5 metres in front of her

3 – Turn to face her but keep running backwards in front of her, and be careful to leave her an escape path so she’s comfortable

4 – SMILE A LOT and have both of your hands out in front of you at about waist height and…

5 – Say something like “Hey, just quickly, I know this is totally random, but I really wanted to meet you, Hi, I’m [YOUR NAME]”

– It’s high risk but high reward because most guys don’t have the confidence to even attempt this
– Be prepared to keep running for a while till the girl becomes comfortable enough to stop and chat
– Be prepared to scare a lot of girls who just cannot comprehend what is happening

It’s 100% important that you give her LOTS of space and only approach when in front of her and keep moving to maintain the space until she stops, OR is comfortable to run alongside you

If she is running in your direction towards you before she’s already past you:

– Do the same as above but without the running past her part. Start running backwards when she’s about 5 metres away in front of you

IMPORTANT: Because it VERY rare for girls to be approached like this and pretty much never happens to them, understand that a lot of them will be creeped out by it

Often the girls just simply don’t know what to do in that situation or how to respond, so it’s easier for them to ignore you and run off than to deal with a potentially awkward situation (or what society would say only a crazy person would do)

The above paragraph also applies to most girls in general when they are approached by a someone they haven’t met before

So remember, often they aren’t rejecting YOU, they are just rejecting the possibility of feeling awkward, so be patient and stay there and persist until they:

– Become receptive
– They leave
– They very firmly and seriously ask you to leave…haha…very rare for this

BONUS TIP: A lot of girls run (and walk) with headphones in. Often they use this as an excuse to ignore you, or more commonly, men use this as an excuse to not start a conversation with a woman with headphones on

The way to deal with this is to do all of the same as above, only when you are facing her and SMILING A LOT:

You then make a gesture of you pulling out imaginary headphones you’re wearing by putting your hands next to your ears, making a pinch gesture with your fingers, and pulling them out repeatedly a few times with a look of friendly urgency on your face as though she will miss out if she doesn’t comply
